Brainstorm first; define 1.0 later

I want:

- fast (i live in this thing)
- sane online/offline mode (i spend too much time on planes -- apple
mail is the only thing i've seen that gets close to succeeding here)
- that works with a high volume of mail
  - including effective searching and very simple filing (gmail's
archive works, but nothing approximates that on the desktop except
maybe t-bird)
- is integrated with all the osx niceties (t-bird utterly utterly fails here)
- can use an imap back end (which necessitate some wizardry about the
archiving issues above)
- can handle multiple accounts (also don't merge all my inboxes like
apple wants to)

i also want a pony.
