It just occurred to me that a lot of the components that would be needed for
this application already exist in proprietary software that is currently
available for the Mac. I'm sure that a lot of prominent developers will turn
up on this list. It might be worth thinking about parts of your software
that are useful for general consumption, and that could be open-sourced.
without compromising your competitive advantage.

Even if you don't have time to actively contribute to this project - maybe
you already HAVE written stuff that could be used for it?
