Hi,

replying deeper in the thread here, as i subscribed to late to have the original message in Mail...

i can't say how much time i'll have, but i'd definitely be interested in contributing on some level or another, mostly on the code and planning side. i currently do use Mail.app and an sort of happy/ok with it, but there's definitely room for improvement, so i think this could become a great project.

one area i'd like to see covered (and maybe work on) is extensibility with plugins of some sort (for example, i've long wanted to integrate some custom plugs to our (home-grown) CRM solution into Mail (to, say, bring up the user account and order history for the customer, when replying to a new mail).

ps: even more needed than a new email app would be a decent *newsgroup reader*. anyone wanna run with *that*? ;)
