Start with MailCore?

So I was thinking that it probably makes sense to start with MailCore, for handling our imap and smtp needs:

It uses libetpan, which is an imap library written by DINH Viêt Hoà, who has expressed interest in helping out.

We'd still need to build out a client API for the front end to use, so that message caching would take place.  However, I think starting with something is better than nothing :)
